Lord Keshav is venerated by those persons wanting to avert bad luck, or ill omens. His consort is Keerti.
The name appears as the 23rd and 648th name of Lord Vishnu in the Vishnu sahasranama of Mahabharata.

Keshava as described by Lord Krishna means “One Who has long hairs.” But Kesas are the rays of the Lord that illumine the Sun, Moon and such other effulgent things of the Cosmos. “The rays of mine that illumine (the Sun, etc.) are called Kesas.
Therefore the wise Brahmins call Me, Kesava. Also ‘Ka’ means Brahmaa, the Creator and ‘Eesa’ means Siva, the Destroyer. Both of them have sprung from Vishnu, the Preserver, hence He is called Kesavah. The Shila is of Shankh shaped which grants worldly comforts to the devotee. The Keshava Shila bestows the devotee with immense wisdom and Charisma. He radiates light and energy from his well being and every one in the society is bound to be benefitted by the worshipper. Every devotee will be benefitted by worshipping this Shila. The Shila is extremely smooth, perfectly shaped, lustrous, small sized, cold to touch, has flawless impressions.

As per Vishnu Sahasranama
According to Adi Sankara’ s commentary on the Vishnu sahasranama, Keshav has following meanings:
* one whose Kesa or hair is long, uncut and beautiful.
* The lord of creation, preservation, and dissolution.
* one who destroyed the demon Keshi in the Krishna avatar.
* one who is endowed with the rays of light spreading within the orbit of the sun.
* one who is himself the three: kah Brahma ,ah Vishnu and Isa Shiva

As per Padma Purana
The one with beautiful long hair.
According to the Padma Purana the name refers to Krishna’s long, beautiful looking unshorn hair.

As per Bhagavad Gita

Killer of the Kesi demon .

In the Bhagavad Gita Arjuna uses the name Keshava for Krishna a number of times, referring to him as the ‘Killer of the Keshi demon’ : I am now unable to stand here any longer. I am forgetting myself, and my mind is reeling. I see only causes of misfortune, O Kesava, killer of the Kesi demon. (Bhagavad Gita 1.30). The demon Keshi, in the form of a horse, was sent by Kamsa to kill Krishna but was overpowered and slain (Vishnu Purana 5.15-16).

[embed]https://youtube.com/shorts/Xd5haE36RYY?feature=share[/embed]

Keshava Shaligram

Two single chakras , opposite to each other , golden color spots , shape like a shankh / conch , mark of vanamala , and kalpvriksha .

[258
94
0":"post-129149","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-rare-keshava","7":"product_tag-keshav-shaligram","9":"first","10":"instock","11":"shipping-taxable","12":"purchasable","13":"product-type-simple
["GET
