This designer Shiv Parivar features Lord Shiva and His consort Parvati sitting together with their sons Lord Ganesh sitting next to Lord Shiva and Lord Kartikeya is on the lap of Maa Parvati. Nandi, the Bull, Lord Shiva’s vahana(vehicle) is sitting at Lord Shiva’s feet and the Peacock, Lord Kartikeya’s vahana is standing below His feet. Mushak(mouse) Lord Ganesh’s vahana is next to him.
This designer Shiv Parivar in displays excellent designing and craftsmanship, which translates to a divinely loving and ideal family picture of Lord Shiva. Unlike the usual images of Lord Shiva, in this idol, Lord Shiva is adorned in rich ornaments, traditional attire, with a tiara-like crown on His head. His left hand is lovingly placed around Maa Parvati’s shoulder, with the Damru held in it, while His left hand is around Lord Ganesh, with the Trisul held in it.
