This sculpture is a copy of the magnificent Yoga Narasimha sculpture that is carved in Hampi, from skilled artisans of south india.  The mystifying piece captures lord Narasimha with his arms held up on his knees in silent repose.  There is a strap of cloth going around his legs helping to hold his knees upright.  His hands dangle down in a very relaxing posture.  Like Vishnu, Narasimha holds a conch and discus on his upper hands.
